The Post is your fishing hotel in Nauders. We have been the number 1 for fishing and angling for many years now. Experience the captivating atmosphere, clear gushing streams and picturesque mountain lake here with us in the Reschen region and spend an angling holiday with authentic and natural flair. As a guest in our fishing hotel, you can expect to hook your "best catch" in two picturesque waters in a high-alpine setting.
The Stillerbach stretches from the Italian boarder to the Nauders Fortress, where it plunges in wild leaps and thunders into the Inn-gorge. The entire body od water offers sporty fly fishermen and passionate hobby fishermen almost endless opportunities to expierience angling in it's purest form. In the Stillerbach you will encounter a good stock of brown and rainbow tout. Brook trout also cavort in the crystal-clear mountain water.
The Grünsee (one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol) is idyllically located in the middle of a gently fragrant larch and spruce forest at 1837 metres above sea level. It is about 1.5 hectares in size and despite the altitude, pike, trout, carp, tench and roach make their rounds there. You can reach this natural jewel comfortably by car via a forest road or combine your fishing trip with a beautiful hike that will also delight non-fishermen.
The Inn is the border river between Switzerland and Austria. The fishing area is about 5 km long. There are brown trout, rainbow trout and grayling to be caught in this mountain river. The border between Switzerland and Austria allows us to fish only one side of the river. You have to reckon with swells caused by the opening of the power plant sluices.
The wild Schergenbach, an approx. 4 km long, wild mountain influx, is the icing on the cake.
The Haidersee is located in the upper Vinschgau Valley at 1,450 m, surrounded by a magnificent mountain world right next to the village of St. Valentin a.d.H. It is known as one of the most fish-rich, beautiful and natural lakes in the entire Alpine region. The lake has a surface area of 89 ha, and is up to 15 metres deep. The lake is home to trout, brook trout, pike, whitefish and perch. The fishing season at Haidersee begins as early as the end of April. Fishing permits are issued in the locality Fischerhäuser.
